First look on KARTRIDER: DRIFT

KartRider: Drift is free-to-play kart-racing game developed and published by Nexon. It’s set to release on  PS4, Xbox One, PC (Steam), and mobile (iOS and Android) on January 11, 2023.

Story

Since KartRider: Drift is a race car game, it has no main story. However, you can challenge your friends across platforms without barriers, pay walls, or pay-to-win elements preventing you from having a great time while topping the leaderboards. Created from the ground up for dynamic, online gameplay, there’s new content being added regularly and huge content updates every season. No Limits. All Drift.

Gameplay

Showing off colorful artwork and a unique character design, KartRider: Drift looks like a Mario Kart game with more style. Firstly, while the game is a race-car game, it has an aspect of fun and a sense of humor. You can notice this in the characters’ development and their stories. Secondly, the drift field speed mode, item mode, and the arcade thrills of item mode are the three main modes of this game. Each one of these mods has unique gameplay and a style all its own. As a result, items drop from loot obtained while racing in these various maps.Some attributes boost your speed, while others freeze or slow down your opponents for you to catch up to them.
Thirdly, Customization. You can customize not only your character but also the cart he uses on the racing grounds. There are so many options to choose from and combos to try with all the different colors. Fourthly, in KartRider Drift, there are seasonal events and content for you and your friends to compete over. For instance, a Halloween-themed map with pumpkins and aliens on it, as well as a UFO pursuing you. Customize your wheels, balloon, booster, wraps, stickers, and more. You can also equip skins of different rarities to one of the characters, such as Dizz, Ethan, Dao, Bazzi, or Neo.
