SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is an upcoming 3D adventure game developed by Purple Lamp Studios and published by THQ Nordic. Based on the series from Nickelodeon It’s set to release for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One on January 31, 2023.

Story

The story of SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is as mysterious as it could be. With wish-granting Mermaid’s Tears in the hands of SpongeBob and Patrick… What could go wrong? Sure, the very fabric holding the universe together could come undone, opening portals into wild wishworlds. But that’s nothing our favorite sponge can’t handle—with the right cosmic costume!

Gameplay

Moving on to the gameplay that takes place in Bikini Bottom. Firstly, SpongeBob and Patrick go through every familiar corner you’ve seen in the series on their adventure to fix everything. Accordingly, all characters have their original voice actors in charge of the voice lines and funny gags in the game. Secondly, SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is more fun than just running around in a bikini bottom, as you solve puzzles and fight enemies to clear your way. Accordingly, jumping and gliding are part of the game. You can also swing on fishing lines, karate kick some enemies, and use a pizza box as a glider.
Thirdly, to break the routine of fighting purple enemies and solving puzzles You get some fun in special sequences, such as riding a seahorse, a stealth sequence, and the fights against bosses.
