Clash Royale Brings Back Crowns and Chests in Events Mode with June 2023 Update

Clash Royale, the popular mobile game developed by Supercell, has announced the return of crowns and chests in Events mode with the June 2023 update. The decision to bring back these rewards comes after the controversial March 2023 update, where they were removed from Events 2.0, a mode that attracted a significant number of players.

Background: The Removal of Crowns and Chests in Events 2.0

Two months ago, Supercell made the decision to remove both crowns and chests from the 2v2 party mode, which was a highly enjoyable and rewarding event for players. The rationale behind this move was to distinguish the primary gameplay of Clash Royale, Trophy Road, and Path of Legends, from the casual Events. However, the decision received backlash from the community, and players reduced their game time in 2v2 modes.

Clash Royale’s Reversal of the Decision

Despite initially stating that the removal of crowns and chests from Events 2.0 was a permanent solution, Supercell has decided to bring back these rewards in the upcoming June 2023 update. This decision comes after receiving complaints from the Clash Royale community about how the removal of a source of Crowns and chests affected their progression from casual game modes.

Future Plans for Clash Royale

While the return of crowns and chests in Events mode is great news for players, Supercell is also considering more significant changes to the game. One of the possible plans is to move away from the chest queue, which has been a feature of the game since its launch.
