Seven Deadly Sins Origins is a new game based on the popular anime Seven Deadly Sins. It was announced on July 22, 2021, as an open-world action RPG game. It’s releases on PC, consoles, and smartphones sometime in 2023. Developed by Netmarble, the game follows the original story of Grand Cross, but 7 Deadly Sins: Origin will feature a multiverse-based story as well as a brand new protagonist.

Story

Firstly, the story is exactly the same as the anime. It tells the story of Britania’s holy knights organization, which confronts the seven deadly sins as criminals in order to protect the kingdom. Ten years later, the Holy Knights are now staging their own coup against the Kingdom of Lioness. As a last-ditch effort, Princess Elizabeth enlists the help of Meliodas, the leader of the Seven Deadly Sins, and its members to rally again and take back the kingdom.

Gameplay

Firstly, in Seven Deadly Sins Origins, the adventurous aspect of the game is phenomenal. Accordingly, there are multiple characters from the anime that you can play as, such as Meliodas, Tristan, Liones Elizabeth, Liones Diane, Ban, King, Merlin, Gilthunder, Howzer, and Gowther. Secondly, each and every one of these characters has different abilities and passives to utilize during combat. For example, Gowther has an AOE (attack on everyone) stun. Gilthunder has lightning attacks. However, they’re all connected in fights, as you can swap between characters. This brings us to the next point, which is the history of the second seven deadly sins.You can play as up to four different characters on your journey.In addition, there are multiple cut scenes where characters act and talk on their own as part of the main story, which adds a nice touch to the game.
Moreover, there are puzzles and riddles for you to solve in Seven Deadly Sins Origins. Many monsters and bosses from the anime to fight against and difficulties to overcome. Take note that Netmarble is also working on a solo leveling game, which we’ll talk about in the upcoming blogs.
