First look on Warlander

Warlander is an upcoming free-to-play action hack-and-slash multiplayer tactical RPG game. It’s developed by Toylogic Inc. and published by PLAION. It will be available on PS5, PC, and Xbox One X/S on January 24, 2023. Meanwhile, the PC version will dive into open beta on September 12.

Story

Harness the mighty powers of god-like Warriors, Clerics, and Mages in Warlander. With a distinct style that combines a medieval-inspired setting with fantastical items and abilities… as well as powerful robots! Master siege weapons and cataclysmic spells to control the battlefield and destroy the enemy’s core!

Gameplay

Firstly, let us talk about Warlander’s RPG world. The game features fast paced action combat and quick decisions. Your choices include defending the castle and core to stop enemies or raiding the enemy’s castle and infiltrating them.Accordingly, taking down the enemies to complete missions earns you many rewards, including valor points. Use these points to bring powerful versions of your characters into the fray and help you turn the tide of battle.
Secondly, Warlander, as we mentioned earlier, is an RPG game. Therefore, it’s driven by action tactics. Control the field with your allies and soldiers, spawn towers, and commandeer troops to win. Keep in mind that each new point you conquer opens up a new path for your forces to take to reach the enemy.
Thirdly, create an eclectic roster of class based characters. There are up to three classes in Warlander, each with their own set of strengths and weaknesses. Wizards or mages are strong damage sources, especially in higher levels with good gear. The warrior class is your typical frontline, with its charging abilities and tank build with lots of health points. Finally, the cleric class (or whatever you want to call them) lends their support. These are casting healing spells and sustaining combat as well as resurrecting or summoning abilities.
