We Were Here Forever is an upcoming puzzle exploration co-op game with escape room vibes. It’s a game developed and published by Total Mayhem Games. Accordingly, cross-play support will be in house from launch. It releases on January 31st, 2023, on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and PC via the Steam store.

Story

The We Were Here Forever story is about both you and your partner waking up in a sinister castle. You’re both stuck and unsure if you were betrayed or just unlucky. Explore the puzzles and mysteries of the castle, solve riddles, and try to escape together from the sinister place.

Gameplay

Moving on to the gameplay of We Were Here Forever, the art direction that takes you from inside the castle to an abandoned village and escape rooms is near perfect. Firstly, solve many puzzles with your online partner on the other side, giving or receiving commands. Both players have a role to play while communicating via walkie-talkies. The timers running out and other cool details add a fun adrenaline rush to both players. Making both of you lost and out of options is where the fun lies in We Were Here Forever.
