Netflix Confirms 40 New Games for 2023 in Addition to 70 Under Development with Partners

Netflix has announced that it will add 40 more games to its library in 2023, indicating its determination to continue its rapid expansion. The company made the announcement in conjunction with the news that Ubisoft will be launching Mighty Quest Rogue Palace in April, exclusively on Netflix.

In their official announcement, Netflix gave a glimpse into what users can expect from their platform, revealing that they have already released over 55 games with 40 more on the way. They also confirmed that they are collaborating with their partners on the development of 70 other games in addition to the 16 games currently in the works by their in-house game studios.

Too Hot to Handle: Love is a Game, which is based on the popular Netflix series of the same name, will also be getting a sequel. Monument Valley franchise by ustwo is set to arrive on Netflix next year, with Monument Valley 1 and Monument Valley 2 titles being the first of the series.

Last year, in October, Netflix revealed that it was working on the development of 55 new games, including some based on its own IPs. The platform spent the first year understanding users’ preferences and establishing a gaming infrastructure in their app, making these developments a significant boost for them.

Mighty Quest Rogue Palace, which will be available exclusively on Netflix from April 18th, will serve as a sequel to The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot, released in 2013. This will be the second of three Netflix-exclusive titles from Ubisoft, with Valiant Hearts: Coming Home being the first and an untitled Assassin’s Creed game in the works.

The plot of the game revolves around the Kingdom of Opulencia searching for Epic loot, but they called off the search just before discovering it. The game also features the need for a hero to save the insane king from himself. With an improved formula, expanded narrative, and upgraded frantic action gameplay, players can easily learn the game, and it is endlessly replayable.
