Valkyrie Elysium First look

Valkyrie Elysium is a JRPG game based on the series Valkyrie profile back in the 90s’. It has a similar gameplay to that of Final fantasy for those of you familiar with the game. Coming on PS4 and PS5 on September 29, 2022. And on PC (Steam) on November 11, 2022.

Story

The mainline series Valkyrie profile has been dormant for almost 2 decades but is now back. Valkyrie Elysium is about the main protagonist who is entrusted with the world’s safety by the highest of the gods and ruler of all creations. Using her abilities, weapons, elements and magic as well as the help of her friends to stand against all sorts of enemies in her way. And eventually stop Ragnarök from destroying the world.

Gameplay

Even though Valkyrie Elysium is back, many players are unhappy with what the game publishes in teasers. They prefer an RPG approach rather than an action RPG approach to the combat. Most of them miss the turn-based gameplay of the Valkyrie profile series which made the new one appealing to some and boring for others.
The community also stated that they replaced Hrist a character that they cherish for the past 2 decades with another one. Lucky enough, they learned it was another character that looked like her.
As for the actual Valkyrie Elysium gameplay, warriors will join the protagonist to fight alongside her. with an incredible art design and flashy attacks and magic abilities/elements. It also comes with a 4k and 60 fps making for an experience of high quality. It is a cross gen game as well.
The music, soundtracks and Ost’s in Valkyrie Elysium are phenomenal too by the Japanese composer Matoi Sakuraba.
