First look on No More Heroes 3

No More Heroes 3 is a slash and hack action-adventure game released on the Nintendo back in 2021. And is now coming on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC the 11th of October 2022.

Story

No More Heroes 3 takes place in a seedy small town in the fictional location of Santa Destroy. Travis Touchdown, a 39-year-old otaku and hitman, describes himself as a passing assassin. He takes residence in Santa Destroy with his cat Jeane, who also serves as Travis’ navigator. While the antagonist of the game is saved by young Damon. She’s on her way to the woods at night and discovers a crash site, encountering FU as a small, injured alien larva. They say goodbye to each other, and FU departs, promising to return. However, he comes back as an exiled prince who tries to take over the planet. Meanwhile, Travis Touchdown, returning to Santa Destroy following years of self-imposed exile, awakes to the city being invaded and fends off waves of aliens together with fellow assassins. No More Heroes 3 story getsmore complicated though.

Gameplay

Firstly, No More Heroes 3 is similar to the previous sequels in the gameplay departure. From movements to positioning with the katana style. It’s a third person game where you have to climb to the top of the Galactic Superhero Rankings. In this open world game, players can traverse around and between multiple islands with Travis’ new modified motorcycle.
Secondly, No More Heroes 3 has a boss battle system. The player must then face off against one of the Rankings’ top contenders in a unique boss battle. While the player can perform various light and heavy combos with the sword, higher tension leads to longer and more damaging combos.
