Need for Speed Unbound is an upcoming 2022 racing video game developed by Criterion Games and published by Electronic Arts for PlayStation 5, Windows (PC), and Xbox Series X/S. Unbound was revealed by EA on October 6, 2022, and set to release on December 2, 2022.

Story

Need for Speed Unbound isn’t a story-driven game, and while it has everything like past Need for Speed titles, it is nothing like them at all. The game is like a classic, generation-defining muscle car that gets resurrected and redesigned with the style and bravado of tomorrow and the same growling engine (or new humming battery) that peeled out in your parent’s and your grandparent’s dreams. Need for Speed Unbound fulfills your need for speed, but in a way that’s unique and tailored to you.

Gameplay

Firstly, Need for Speed Unbound takes place in Lakeshore City. The first meetup takes place at Cyril Heights with other racers who are just as excited as you are. Lakeshore offers many locations for drift and jump testing as well as street racing culture. Secondly, a new campaign structure takes place in the game. Focusing on two friends at a family auto shop, when they experience a robbery and split up, players take part in a street race for a chance to get a priceless car. Each character has a story and a voice with a unique style.
Thirdly, you can expect side quests while understanding the multiple characters’ stories, which makes the game more fun. As a result, you can’t go wild and free in the cities and earn cash to buy things in the weekly qualifiers by making deliveries, completing side quests, or competing in night races to win cash. Fourthly, cops become more aggressive as the heat gets higher while racing in the streets. Heat 1 is the first level, with Camaros and other cars trying to catch up to you. Heat 4 means helicopters, heat 5 is when the F-150 appears. To outrun everyone, use nitrous with a simple hold for speed or tapping the button to generate even more speed.
Finally, there are over 143 cars in Need for Speed Unbound from famous manufacturers such as BMW, Ferrari, Dodge, and Aston Martin. Nissan Lambos and more.
