Flash Party Announces NA Spring Open Tournament with $10K Prize Pool

Flash Party announces first major North American tournament, Spring Open, on April 8th with $10K prize pool. Players from across the continent will compete against top talent in the platform fighting game community.

1v1 Double-Elimination Structure

The competition will feature a single-day tournament with a 1v1 double-elimination structure, with sign-ups already open for the limited 512 spots.

Exhibition Match

To kick off the tournament, an exhibition match between four of the biggest names in the Super Smash Bros. community will take place. This includes Void, the current best platform fighter in the world, Zain, the best Super Smash Bros. Melee player in the world, Coney, the Smash Bros. community’s largest variety streamer, and Riddles, a top 5 Super Smash Bros. Ultimate player. This exhibition match is part of the exclusive partnership between VGBC and Flash Party.

$5K and Custom In-Game Character

The winner of the tournament will receive a cash prize of $5K and an individually customized in-game character. (Additionally, runners-up in the top 16 will each receive a portion of the prize money). Flash Party will use the winning player’s character and design requirements to create a unique in-game item that celebrates their victory as the first Spring Open champion.
