eFootball ‘Develop.Design.Define’ Season 4: A Complete Overview

Konami’s eFootball has tasted immense success with its previous two seasons, based on the Qatar World Cup 2022 and Club themes. With the fourth season, eFootball ‘Develop.Design.Define’, Konami has brought a spectacular feature-filled update that enhances the Dream Team mode. This article provides a complete overview of the fourth season and all its features.

Skill Training System

The Skill Training System, a popular feature from the PES series, has made a comeback in Season 4 of eFootball. This feature allows all players in a team to gain five additional skill slots, which can drastically improve their performance on the pitch. Players can acquire these skills by using Skill Tokens, which are part of the newly introduced Skill Training Programs.

Using Skill Tokens, players can add new Player Skills at random to these Additional Skills slots, allowing them to have a maximum of 15 skills compared to the previous limit of 10. Although this may reduce the realism in the game, having multiple skills on a player can make the game more interesting.

Legacy Transfers

The Legacy Transfers feature allows users to transfer Experience Points and Additional Skills from one player to another, whether they have trained them or not. With this feature, players can get a better version of an already existing player. To transfer Experience Points and Additional Skills, players need to select a player from whom they wish to transfer all the points and choose a person who fits the required conditions to inherit those points.

In the eFootball Dream Team mode, players can expand their player slot quota to a maximum of 900. The current number of slots available in the Game Plan of Dream Team is 500, and players can increase the number of players available by acquiring 50 slots for 500,000 GP.

Attack and Defense Level Bar

The Attack and Defense Level Bar is a new addition to the eFootball Dream Team mode that allows players to choose the level of play focusing on attack, defense, or basic, just like the system on PC/console. On mobile, FIFA Mobile has a similar system but with only three modes: Attack, Balanced, and Defense.

With the new Attack and Defense Level Bar, players can choose a mild defensive system or an all-out system. However, it may leave a hole while making a defensive transition, which may work against the player.

Player Rating Changes

The Team feature in eFootball Season 4 now displays players’ Overall Rating exceeding 100, indicating that more players with great performances will be getting higher-rated players. So, if you were a fan of high-rated players like 102 Mbappe or 103 Iconic Rashford in the PES series, you are in for a treat.

Kick-Off Campaign

These scenarios will be based on real-life matches and situations that have happened in the past. Players will be able to relive these moments and try to replicate or even surpass them in the game. It adds an extra layer of excitement and competitiveness to the Dream Team mode.

Improved Matchmaking

Matchmaking is an important aspect of any online multiplayer game, and KONAMI has improved it with this update. The matchmaking algorithm has been tweaked to ensure that players are matched with opponents of similar skill level and team strength. It will result in more balanced and competitive matches, which will be enjoyable for both players.
